Dr. Kathleen Smith M.D. Board Certified 

My background in medicine began when I graduated from University of Louisville Medical School in 1986. I proceeded to do a Family Practice Residency and was Board Certified in Family Practice in 1980. I was in private practice and combined Emergency Medicine for the next 10 years, upon which I became double boarded in Family Practice and Emergency Medicine. I have been Emergency Department Chief in several hospitals in Kentucky and New York State.

I became very interested in Anti-aging Medicine 7 years ago and have developed a full-time practice in this specialty 2 years ago. I will be taking my boards in Anti-aging Medicine in April 2008.

My Practice at Forever Young Health combines the many skin rejuvenation treatments with Hormone replacement therapy and of course the laser liposuction. I trained in CoolLipo ™ laser liposuction soon after FDA approved this procedure. I am now experienced in the many uses of this technology. I find the ability to destroy fat cells and tighten skin at the same time, an added benefit not possible with traditional liposuction.

Hormone Replacement therapy is a passion of mine. I do enjoy a wide spectrum of patients ranging from Hollywood Celebrities to professional athletes, amateur athletes, professional dancers, lawyers, judges, police firemen, doctors, educators as well as construction workers and cocktail waitresses. I enjoy working with these patients so much as they all share one thing in common, they want the best health and fitness available.
