Tony Falce - Personal Trainer
|
Hello, my name is Tony Falce and I have been involved in personal training for over 15 years. I grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and played three sports (Football, Basketball and Baseball) like most kids in the neighborhood.
I first started weight training in 1988 when I was in high school at the late Jeff Wright’s Gold’s Gym. I was able to gain a great deal of knowledge from Jeff and his colleagues. As I started college and participated in collegiate football my team was never blessed to have a strength and conditioning coach. I would see a vast majority of my teammates and students in the weight room exercising incorrectly; from improper technique to sets and repetitions. After graduating college from IUP in Elementary Education;I started teaching school at Glen Mills outside of Philadelphia. Our school was the Reigning National High School Powerlifting Champion (yes I took the position because I was able to coach). During my time coaching, I had the privilege to coach three National Champions (weight class: 242, 275 and Super heavy weight). Also during that period, I started to compete myself.
In my first show, I was able to place first in the Steubenville, OH Bench Press/Deadlift Meet 242wt class. A year later I placed second in the Delaware State’s 198wt. class and first in the Cleveland, OH IPA Bench Press Show 242wt. class. In 2007, I came out of retirement and competed in Ironman Pro in Pasadena California.
